The PAN!C project<\/b>\u00a0is a collaboration with VANSA and\u00a0Picha Centre de Art<\/a>\u00a0at Lubumbashi.<\/p>\n

PAN!C is a platform that provides a space for sharing of knowledge and ideas, as well as discussions that engage independent spaces in the African continent. PAN!C\u00a0has been expanded this year, into quarterly programs that will take place both in Johannesburg and Lubumbashi.<\/p>\n

The first quarter’s point of departure is \u00ab\u00a0What is Independent?\u00a0\u00bb. This questions factors that affect the dynamism and sustainability of independently run spaces on the continent. These conversations will be facilitated by Robyn Cook who is focusing her PhD research on South African contemporary independent spaces.<\/p>\n
